She has been flung into the limelight even before her first film Khwaish hit the screen. But Mallika Sherawat is not complaining. Mallika is ruling the glossies for her on screen smooches in Khwaish. Mallika speaks on her role in Khwaish and her journey from Haryana to Mumbai’s tinseltown.

Was the journey from Haryana to Bollywood a tough one?
No, because I always wanted to be an actress and nothing else.

How did it happen?
I came to Mumbai and was trying my luck in the media when I was called for the Santro advertisement with Shah Rukh Khan. That did it for me. The ad was all over the place and Govind Menon wanted a fresh face for his film. So I was auditioned along with thousands of other girls and I got the part.
